been awhile since my last blog. lately i just didnt feel like doin anything. stupid work couldnt be any busier. i have zillion things in mind but everytime i finish drafting my blog i just felt i couldnt be bothered posting it. different story though today as i am on a happy mood. and i wanted to whinge about my dallas mavericks. no matter what the loyalists say, they stunk against phoenix. nowitzki, who's always been my favorite player was the epitome of a brat. i saw that game 6 & jason terry was basically the only guy carrying dallas. one defensive blunder cost them the game but it wasnt his fault entirely. and what did dick, i mean dirk do? he chastised JT, the way he blew up against dampier (ok thats understandable, i was cursing in front of yahoo.nba.com play by play everytime i see the 'foul on dampier' crap). but dirk himself was playing like shit. yeah he had a couple of 3s but he was nowhere to be found on the offensive end when phoenix eventually caught up. anyway, its all water under the bridge now. i just hope san antonio wins so i can get my $450. back to karaoke, i went to the harbord beach hotel karaoke grandfinals last night. a fellow karaoke buff just tagged me along to check out the competition. everyone sang great but the result was a joke. rules specify that all finalists have to sing 1 ballad & 1 uptempo (rock, dance) but the winner sang, first a Led Zeppelin song & then an AC/DC. since when did these groups sing ballad? also the american idol is now over & done with. carrie underwood sang a Guy Sebastian (australian idol) song & that nailed it for her. ive never seen one episode of AI4 coz its on a friday & im not usually home earlier than 1am on a friday but based on what ive read & heard, the standard is far superior than the last one where the musical talents of jasmine trias, john stevens & camille velasco (LOL) were showcased. enuff rambling. next!
