Australia has finally found their very first idol; Guy Sebastian. One look at this Adelaide guy & you'll think that he's Rez Cortez's long lost son, or a reincarnation of Jeffrey Santos (yup that one-time That's Entertainment dude who's now fat & sporting that hideous goatee). But Guy, who is of Malaysian lineage not only can hit those uber notes but a terrific music arranger as well. The moment he belted out 'Climb Every Mountain' & reduce me into tears made me believe that he should represent Oz in the forthcoming 'World Idol' series. As one of the judges said, 'there will be no dry eyes in Oxford Street tonight after seeing that performance'. That performance nailed it. Shannon Noll, the other finalist is a country boy & has this Aussie larrikin image that made him the sentimental choice even though his range is limited to rock. Thankfully, common sense prevailed & our Idol will surely give Kelly Clarkson, Will Young, Ruben Studdard, Ryan Malcolm & the Europeans a run for their money.

One of the things I look forward to when I go online is reading Lauren & Fonzy's blogs & what could be sadder than reading their very last posts. Lauren & Rochelle were the ones who got me into blogging. I was a bit hesitant back then coz I'm not really a good writer & I don't wanna embarass myself but I thought the only people who probably would be reading my blogs are Lauren & Rochelle. So what the heck, it's not like it could get any worse so I'll give it a go. I got hooked & the rest is history. Although I wasn't as frequent a poster as they are, I found blogging an outlet. Like IRC, it became an addiction, the only difference is that you don't have to spend hours yapping about crapulosities and stuff. You think, you write, do a little tinkering with grammars & there you go, essentially giving away personal stuff to people you haven't even met. I didn't mind that coz I knew that the guys who are going to be reading it are good people. They may or may not care but they sure will say something about it.

I'm not the type who would normally write like this but in all sincerity, I would like to say thank you to Lauren & Fonzy (you don't like people to call you Fonzy but what can I say, you're just like Fonzy from Happy Days, the epitome of coolness) for making blog reading worthwhile. Most of all, thanks for putting up with my crap, from our #99.5rt & #pinoyexchange days, to all your shout outs & text messages. I'm glad that you two have moved on to better things & I wish you all the happiness in life.

As for me, I'll still be blogging. I'll quit eventually but that'll be the time when I don't get any more responses from people, which is the very essence of blogging anyway.
