nothing much to blog. monday was boring. mike got back from his holidays and brought some stuff from mum; fake birks, RL shirts, home made bagoong and achara which mike managed to sneak in & a video of her retirement party which i never get to see coz it's in damned NTSC format. watched seinfeld re-runs, malcolm in the middle, who wants to be a millionaire, and a little bit of that spanish flick starring penelope cruz. got bored so i went back to reading 'the brethren' (ok call me baduy but sheldon is a better story teller than grisham) & went to bed after 1 chapter.

oh joy!

The Rippingtons will be releasing a new CD called 'Let It Ripp'. Honestly, their last offering 'Live Across America' just didn't cut it. It's been 4 albums since Jeff Kashiwa & Steve Reid left the band and yes, I still miss them. Eric Marienthal is a legend in his own right but Kashiwa is irreplaceable. Dunno how this new one will be received by most Ripps fan who have been whinging against the 'new sound'. I still prefer the percussive a-la 'Welcome to the St James Club' rather than the current pop/soul/Latin oriented one.

Biggest hoax ever?

Saw this TV documentary last Saturday called 'Conspiracy Theory: Did We Really Land On The Moon?'. I'm not a science man so I never really paid any attention to what happened July 1969. Apparently, everything happened right here in our very planet. Nevada deserts to be exact. Evidences were presented so thoroughly that you don't have to be the most skeptic person in the world to be convinced. If there is no air on the moon, then how come footages show the American flag waving while already planted on the surface. If the only source of light is the sun, then how come shadows from different angles appear? How come the lunar module's blast furnace never produced any craters underneath the landing path. Other questions were raised and it all pointed out to the Americans paranoia of being one-upped by the Russians in the space wars, hence this 'hoax'. Sadly we will never know unless we send someone back (the Americans have no plans of sending another team), or somehow if we can develop a camera strong enough to capture images from the surface of the moon.

ok, this blog is still a mess but i'll sort this out soon. pramis.

the regular QM of trivia night handed over the reins to another guy. turned out this guy is even worse. 'what is the currency of hongkong'? the answer obviously is dollar. an old hag complained that the answer should be 'hongkong dollar' which is technically correct but hello, the question already said 'hongkong' so 'dollar' is the acceptable answer. QM agreed with her negating the answers of 9/10 participants. so here i am emailing the club and offering my services to replace that idiot QM
